Leading VEKA trade fabricator, Modplan has become the first fabricator in the UK to offer the new LEKA Warm Roof. The new LEKA Warm Roof, which was launched at this year’s FIT Show, offers a lightweight construction and achieves a U Value of just 0.15.

At its heart, the LEKA Warm Roof has been designed and engineered using innovative technology to provide a conservatory roof that offers superb sound insulation, energy efficiency and rapid installation. But the reason the LEKA Warm Roof is attracting so much attention is that it offers something genuinely different. It’s engineered and installed in layers, which is why it offers such an incredible U value.
The structural rafters, which comply with BS EN 13706, are constructed using GRP. This means they don’t suffer from cold bridging, condensation or conductivity as you find with aluminium products, or moisture absorption issues associated with timber alternatives.
LEKA insulated board replaces the usual plasterboard for the internal finish. It’s the third of the weight of plasterboard and is insulated at the same time.
The roof is available in any design and can incorporate all sizes of Velux rooflights too providing additional light options. It offers a bigger span and a lower pitch too, giving it incredible design possibilities.
As you’d expect from Modplan, just having a ground-breaking product in their portfolio isn’t enough. The product has already been approved by Network VEKA and has achieved jhai Building Control accreditation too.
