Mercury invests for growth

Trade fabricator Mercury Glazing Supplies Ltd has just invested in two pieces of fabrication machinery that will support the company’s continued growth. Chris Reeks, Mercury’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We have a strong growth strategy in place, which is already delivering results. This five figure investment will help us continue to deliver exceptional quality and exceptional lead times as our order volumes increase.”

Mercury has invested in a CN770 CNC Corner Cleaner and an SMR-4 Four Headed Welder, both from industry-leading machinery supplier Haffner Murat. Chris commented: “Haffner Murat has an excellent reputation in the industry for delivering reliable, high quality machinery and Dave Thomas’s hands on approach, attention to detail and rapid response is superb. The reality more than matched up to the reputation and the machines will add further value to our fabrication process.”

The CN770 CNC Corner Cleaner cleans corners quickly and effectively with no manual intervention, improving output times and quality. The SMR-4 Four Headed Welder is the fastest and most accurate in line welder on the market today, bringing further efficiency benefits to Mercury’s operation.

Mercury’s investment comes hot on the heels of the announcement of a new three year supply agreement with Spectus and investment in processing software to improve the efficiency of administration and production. Chris concluded: “Our intention is to grow by 35% in the next three years. Recently, we have been putting in place the foundations to do that without compromising any of the quality for which we are known. The new machinery is our latest investment in our plans.”

Mercury’s name has been built on providing value-added specialist products with exceptional customer-focused service. It’s a reputation it’s clear the company intends to keep as it continues to grow.
