DHF launches online booking and payment system for training courses

Tamworth-based trade association, the Door & Hardware Federation, (DHF) has launched a new online booking and payment system for would-be delegates of their training courses. The pro-active federation has initiated its online booking and payment process for ‘speed’ and ‘ease’ for both members and non-members and has confirmed that the new system will reduce the administrative booking and payment procedure from days to just minutes.

“Before the new online system, booking a place on one of our training courses was very time-consuming,” explains DHF’s Commercial Manager, Patricia Sowsbery-Stevens. “An email expressing interest was sent to our training co-ordinator who sent out a booking form for completion prior to arranging payment. Our new online process has eliminated a good deal of the previous administrative work, resulting in a quick and easy transaction for the user.”

This new development is a further effort on the organisation’s part to demonstrate its increasing standing in the industry as a progressive, innovative and pioneering organisation, with its member needs at the very heart of operations. Indeed, DHF has experienced considerable member growth, particularly over the past five years, with 450 members in 2018, compared to just 220 in 2012. Fresh branding and a new website launched two years ago, and in September this year, a move to larger premises with a state-of-the-art training academy, is a further indication of DHF’s growth, as is their continuing commitment to training. More than 2500 individuals have now completed at least one of DHF’s Safety Training Courses, whether a Diploma or Certificate Course, and in October, the organisation announced the launch of a new one-day Automated Gate Safety Certificate Course.

“Training remains one of the most important activities that we undertake at DHF,” concludes Patricia. “We are hoping that this new online booking and payment system will deliver ease-of-use and save time. In addition, it is a further example of DHF’s commitment to remaining a modern, inventive and 21st century organisation.”
