ODL Europe has appointed Stephen Porter in the position of Production Manager to head up its composite door operations for the Bootle-based business.

Stephen, who has previously held senior operational roles within the industry, is ideally placed to head up the growing composite door facilities and help support the company’s ambitious growth strategy.

Speaking on his appointment, Stephen said: ”I am delighted to join ODL Europe at such an exciting time. The company has a great ethos and ambitious growth plans. Having worked previously for one of their customers, I have first-hand experience of the quality and pedigree of their Capstone composite door slab and the market-leading properties it offers fabricators and installers. I am looking forward to working with such a professional and focussed team.”

Stephen will oversee all composite door operations which includes heading up the company’s in-house composite door prepping facility.   Launched in April 2019, the impressive door prepping facility follows a six-figure investment and delivers a comprehensive door prepping service for ODL Europe’s customers. The facility includes prepping slabs for customers’ door locks, letter plates and door hinges with open in and open out options. The in-house facility allows a degree of flexibility and offers as much or as little prepping as is needed, putting the customer in control.

Nathan Barr, Managing Director at ODL Europe, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to the team. Our business has clear plans for growth and the launch of our three new composite doors will add even further value for our customers. Stephen’s experience and commitment will ensure we maintain our focus and deliver high standards throughout our door operation.”

Stephen is the latest in a series of key senior new appointments for ODL Europe.   He takes up his position as Production Manager on 4th January, 2021.
