I awoke on Friday 19th September and switched on the News with some, I have to say, trepidation. I found myself to be relieved that we were still a ‘United Kingdom’, and with a feeling of dread removed. However there was also a slight (but only slight) disappointment that that frisson of excitement that a ‘Yes’ would have brought, had dissipated. Probably a lack of confidence in our politicians’ abilities is to blame as their delivery on anything seems to be questionable. I really think that our constitution should dictate that anyone seeking election in politics should have held down a ‘proper job’ for a decent period before offering themselves to the voters. Professional politicians, with no knowledge of the real world and pampered with fat salaries, ridiculous and seemingly unquestioned expenses, a gold plated pension and the ability to employ members of their family to top up the pot, should be banned from holding office and certainly a cabinet post.

Moving on, Fenestra Build now sports a brand new design! We’ve updated our old format to incorporate some circular banners, clearer headlines and longer ‘snippets’ of editorial, the idea being it is easier to read and you can now get a feel for the article at hand, without being redirected from the mailer.
