CMS Window Systems have been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.They have beenshortlisted in the categories, ‘Best Business (51+ Employees)’ and in the new category ‘Excellence in Young People Development’. The premier cross-industry awards will be held on 7th March at Motherwell Concert Hall.
These awards celebrate excellence in business and recognise the people and companies that are helping to grow the Lanarkshire economy with the goods, services and innovations they provide, in addition to supporting employment in the Lanarkshire area. CMS have continued to enjoy year on year growth with turnover doubling to £14M in 2012 and expected turnover for 2013 expected to reach £18M. Due to continued growth they also relocated their Scottish headquarters to a new state-of-the-art multi-purpose 15 acre site at Castlecary, Cumbernauld. Since the business started back in 2006 it has grown year on year, even bucking the trend during the recession. The business now employs 170 staff, 45 of which have been employed over the past 18 months, primarily from the Lanarkshire area.
Now in their 21st year, the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards celebrate the success and achievements of the Lanarkshire business community. These prestigious awards are the highlight of the Lanarkshire business calendar and attract high profile industry support and involvement. Categories include; Best New Business, Best Small Business (50 employees or less), Best Business (51 employees or more), Best Green Business, Excellence in Customer Service and Excellence in Young People Development.
