DERBY TECH COMPANY EXPANDS EMPLOYING A FURTHER EIGHT STAFF

, Recruitment
Derby-based technology suppliers, the Carfulan Group, has expanded its building on the Tomlinson Business Park to include a demonstration and training facility that allows customers to experience its products before they purchase.
The company was provided with a £350,000 commercial loan from NatWest – their bank for over 25 years.
Carfulan, which was established in 1989, is a family run business that provides SmartScope measuring machines, 3D printers and tool presetting and measuring systems to UK manufacturers in the core industries of aerospace and automotive. The company wanted to provide facilities so that clients, including BMW, JCB and Jaguar, could evaluate technology prior to investment.
Since completion of the expansion, the company has taken on eight employees to add to its 40-strong team, and is looking to hire a further six by the end of the year.
Managing Director of Carfulan, Andrew Fulton said: “Without extending our building, we would have been offering a lesser service to our customers. NatWest were supportive throughout, and our close relationship that has been built over many years was key to them understanding our needs.”
NatWest Relationship Manager, Andy Upton commented: “The products that Carfulan produce are intelligent and unique in their offering – the showroom is a perfect addition to the premises, and will allow the business to offer a full, professional service.”
