IDF Aluminium Limited, Wynda Components, Duplus Architectural Systems, Sealtite and Ideal Windows are amongst the first customers to cut even more time off processing the successful thermally efficient TD68 Jack Door using Jack Aluminium’s new end miller.

Jack Aluminium worked with J Tools to design the end miller that cuts the process time from fifteen minutes to just three, which can save one hour production time for every five Jack Doors made compared to a typical thermally improved door.

Sean Mackey, Commercial Director at J Tools Limited says: “We’ve been designing and manufacturing tools for the glazing industry for 20 years. Talking with customers is an important part of our product development. Working with Jack Aluminium to design the end miller is a good example of how our technical support and product development can win more business for customers.”

Tim Brookes, production manager at Duplus Architectural Systems says: “Thermally improved doors are specified on an increasing number of projects so making them more efficient to manufacture is important to us. Making Jack Doors with the new end miller gets rid of the bottleneck, freeing off the fabrication line and improving productivity.”

Jeff Pearson, Jack Aluminium’s sales director adds: “The demand for thermally efficient commercial doors is growing. We designed the Jack Door TD68 profile with a unique thermal break that makes it much quicker and easier to cut during fabrication. Designing the end miller made perfect sense as it speeds up the routing process to help customers reduce their costs even further.”
