UK timber windows and doors manufacturer JELD-WEN is celebrating further 2013 awards success after its new website was highly commended at last week’s Construction Marketing Awards.

Hosted at a star-studded gala dinner at the Radisson Blu, Portman hotel in London, the Construction Marketing Awards are the UK’s premier marketing awards event for the construction industry.

JELD-WEN was shortlisted for the Best Use of Website category, which recognises how businesses within the construction industry have best used their website and digital offering to communicate with their customers. JELD-WEN was highly commended on the night for its investment in producing an innovative and creatively designed website specifically tailored to meet the needs of both consumers and trade professionals.

The latest awards victory follows hot on the heels of the Timber Trades Journal (TTJ) Awards 2013, where the manufacturer scooped the coveted award for Website of the Year.

JELD-WEN has invested heavily in its new website, which marks its move towards a digital marketing strategy. Intuitively designed to navigate customers through the procurement process and increase brand awareness the site also delivers tailored messaging to each of the JELD-WEN’s key audiences, keeping trade professionals informed of the latest industry news and updating consumers of new trends and product launches.

Ian Exall, chair of judges – head of marketing, Aqualisa, and CIMCIG chair, said: “Our winners have demonstrated that clear objective setting, diligent planning and relevant execution delivers results. So yet again we have been presented with some excellent work and some fantastic case studies where companies within our industry are using the profession of marketing to lead the business to more profitable times”.

Lucy Woodhead, communications manager at JELD-WEN, said: “The CMA award caps off a brilliant awards year for JELD-WEN. We’re so pleased that the judges have recognised the investment we’ve made in developing a new digital marketing strategy and offering a website that’s more accessible to both our trade and consumer customers. Since launching in March, we’ve gone from strength to strength and we’re looking forward to popping this latest award alongside our Timber Trades Journal Award, hopefully we’ll need a bigger shelf next year!”
