ODL Europe, exclusive partner of Capstone Engineering and supplier of the Capstone door slab, has announced the introduction of the new Capstone SecureDesign™ Door Slab. The SecureDesign™ Door Slab is manufactured with polypropylene, which eliminates water absorption and means doors will not bulge or rot, even if water intrudes through openings from seal failure of glass and letterplates. Polypropylene also retains its shape even after torsion, bending and / or flexing, giving it superior toughness. Plus, as a thermoplastic it is a good candidate for recycling.

Security is built in, which means the SecureDesign™ Door Slab is PAS 24:2016 accredited as standard. It has been designed to create fewer areas of vulnerability, which increases the difficulty of cutting through the door. The SecureDesign™ Door Slab is an integral part of the door core, rather than ‘floating’ in the door, further improving strength and overall security.

The quality and consistency delivers too. The SecureDesign™ Door Slab has a high-density polyurethane foam core which has been designed and engineered for the best flowability of the foam. This reduces possible foam voids, bulging and uneven surfaces, ensuring high quality aesthetics. Every slab is injection moulded to the specific design, delivering the same specifications and delivering consistent performance every time.
