The AGH Center of Energy in Krakow (Poland) will start its operation in autumn. This is another in this city large project using façade glazed units by PRESS GLASS – a company which specialises in manufacturing panes for construction industry. Previously, the façade glazed units were used at construction of e.g. ICE Krakow Congress Centre.

The Center of Energy will consist of two buildings including the total of 38 specialist laboratories. The structure, designed by the architects of Biuro Rozwoju Krakowa (Krakow Development Office) is distinguished for its simple shape and a translucent pavilion located on the roof.

The ICE Krakow Congress Centre was opened last year. The Krakow complex is one of the most prestigious in Europe facilities of this type. One of the main characteristics of this facility is a glazed, three-level foyer with a view of the Wawel Royal Castle. This facility was designed by two Polish architects: Krzysztof Ingarden and Jacek Ewý. However, the concept works were also participated by architects of the Arata Isozaki Japanese office.

Both projects are among the largest construction projects in Krakow in which the PRESS GLASS façade glazed units were used.

„We have delivered façade glazed units and laminated single glasses to the AGH Center of Energy. In the case of ICE KRAKOW Congress Centre, we have provided it with façade glazed units”, states PRESS GLASS.

The ICE Krakow Congress Centre was opened in October 2014 while official launching of the AGH Center of Energy operation is planned for autumn 2015.
