Leicester based Roof-Maker Ltd is really creating a fuss in the rooflight industry with its new slide open rooflight product!

Available in three common sizes to start with (the company says it will soon be offering bespoke sizes also) these

Rooflights are fully electric and slide fully open for both access and open sky viewing.

Available in both roof-lantern/pyramid and flat designs with triple glazing as standard, this exciting new product

was first shown to the public earlier this year at the HB&R show at the NEC and received a massive response.

“We had under estimated the interest in this type  of product” Said Nick Cox.

“Because we pitched the price at up to 50% lower than any other slide open product on the market, many

customers are choosing to upgrade from a fixed flat rooflight to a fully opening one and enjoy the added benefits” said Nick.

“We were missing out on multiple order deals for projects that included an opening rooflight, we can now offer everything

being a one stop shop for flat roof skylights and rooflights” Commented Nick Cox.

The products feature aluminium clad built in hardwood kerbs to create a hybrid design that comes ready glazed for rapid

fitting straight onto the flat roof. A dedicated frameless look is achieved on the products thanks to a new dedicated and fully

welded powder coated, aluminium skirt.

The company says this new product is perfect for maximum ventilation without the clutter of roof vents and

also penetrates the roof access market because the products open up to 900 x 2000mm in area.

Roof-Maker is the largest manufacturer of glass rooflights for flat roofs in the UK, with over 4000 rooflights

a year being manufactured for supply to both the retail and trade and now a growing commercial sector.
