SYNSEAL’S NEW HEAD OF QUALITY COMMANDS INDUSTRY EXPERTISE

Steve Hill has joined market-leading UK systems suppliers Synseal in the role of Head of Quality, with a full remit to manage the well-established quality team and assist to drive the business improvement plan which aims to continually raise standards across the entire Synseal product portfolio.

Prior to joining Synseal, Steve enjoyed 17 years working for high-profile window industry retailers Safestyle UK marketing products direct to consumers, initially as Quality Manager for a decade followed by another 7 years successfully operating as the company’s Technical Manager.

Steve is experienced in managing all aspects of quality for a large-scale production and window fabrication operation. Process improvement, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing techniques also feature strongly in his career CV to date, which means he is fully conversant with industry-leading best practices and well-qualified to tackle his new role at Synseal.

David Leng, Synseal’s Chief Executive, comments: “What Steve brings to Synseal is a refreshingly different mindset. He is adept at championing consumer-facing retail products in terms of both manufactured and installed quality, which as we all know is a highly exacting discipline. Our aim at Synseal is to secure customer delight right along the value chain, from our fabricator partners through to installers and ultimately the end-users, UK homeowners. In this regard, Steve’s experience and quality management credentials are second to none.”

When he is not busy championing quality standards at Synseal, Doncaster-based Steve also enjoys watching his local rugby union team Wath-Upon-Dearne, playing golf and social evenings out and about with wife Dawn and son McCauley.
