Weeks of anticipation were finally over when Quickslide were announced as winners of the National Fenestration Awards’ Vertical Sliding Window Company category on 2 nd November. The NFA’s Winners Week commenced on Monday 29 th October and was filled with surprises, as just one day before their champions’ victory the Yorkshire-based firm were awarded second place in the Sliding Patio Door Company category behind contemporary-style winners Eurocell.

It’s not surprising though, when the man at the helm is slowly becoming synonymous with the attitude that windows should be viewed ‘as furniture’. Chairman Adrian Barraclough believes that the aesthetic qualities of windows are just as important as their practical uses and should be considered for alteration or modernisation with the same frequency as carpets or curtains.

You often wonder how your industry colleagues see you from the outside, so to take these accolades back to the team is a real pat on the back.
